I found another old poem that just about screamed (literally) to be re-written. The original was written in the Fall of 2006, after my first introduction to Elfen Lied. It's a very violent anime, the likes of which will never make it review-worthy in this blog, but it nonetheless made an interesting source of, in a twisted use of the word, "inspiration" for the following piece.
Unfathomable (revised 11 29 2009)
inspire my rage
tear me from the inside out
inspire my rage
and burn the remains
inspire my rage
then leave the ashes behind
but don't turn around
inspire my rage
then walk away
don't look back
don't ever look back
no
please
don't
go away
leave now
turn back
turn back
please
please
turn back
I said leave!
too late now
I warned you
I begged you
but it's too late now!
watch the expression on my face
witness the unfathomable hate
as all that is left of me
destroys everything you are
